Our kindergarten, following the teaching legacy left to us by Munari, offers children an environment full of stimuli, designed to respect their interests and attention spans, where each child is free to express themselves and become the protagonist of their own growth.
Numerous workshops accompany their journey: in the voice and sound workshop, children sing and mime songs, participate in group dances and singing games such as ring-around-the-rosy, using simple musical instruments and exploring everything that produces sound, with a varied listening experience ranging from classical to folk, ethnic, and modern music.
In the art workshop, the most diverse techniques are learned and used, refining fine motor skills while at the same time opening the doors to creativity. Children then follow their own path, learning "how" to do things, but deciding "what" to do, fueled by their enthusiasm to discover their own abilities, free to experiment and explore themselves.
The body workshop takes place in the gym, where, thanks to the support of a specialized educator, the little ones have fun with psychomotor activities and games involving balls, hoops, ropes, and other materials that encourage movement.
Fundamental is also the book workshop, which enhances reading and the presence of books in children's lives as a key to stimulating imagination, intelligence, and language: time is dedicated daily to reading pictures, nursery rhymes, and fables, using authentic books from various cultures, as well as creations by educators and parents, artistic reproductions, and magazines.
English language teaching is a constant presence, not an isolated workshop: native-speaking staff speak, sing, and play with the children alongside Italian-speaking educators, enabling to learn English in a natural and engaging way. A class of children called "Teddy" continues the bilingual program in the afternoons.
Through the city workshop, children go outdoors, stroll in the park, and explore the daily lives of adults, visit theaters and museums, thus broadening their knowledge and curiosity.
Finally, the Montessori-inspired "Doing and Thinking" workshop offers a space dedicated to simple and natural materials such as pine cones, leaves, twigs, and sponges, with which children can create and invent new activities, in an environment that values creativity through rich play made from humble elements.
